What is this and what does it offer to you?

  • The Postgraduate Nuclear Curriculum is a common training offered by the URV to its Master's students of the different disciplines.
  • It puts within your reach the means to achieve an integral and comprehensive education, in equilibrium with the specialization that you have chosen.
  • Moreover, this program offers you the opportunity to correlate with other students of different disciplines, who develop their daily research in other departments or campuses of the university that also study a university master at the URV but in different disciplines and with different ethical and philosophical perceptions about the science and the academic world.

To whom is it adressed?

  • This training is aimed at all students of a university master in the URV who are encouraged to participate!
  • Grant Beneficiaries 08-09: You have to enrol the 3 credits for this subject as a requirement to receive the grant convened by the URV.

Estructure of the programme

  • The nuclear curriculum gives postgraduate training in generic and transversal matters, focusing on the general competences of CITIZENSHIP and CAREER GUIDANCE.
  • The course consists of two modules of 15 hours each.
  • Language: Catalan-Spanish / English (minimum 50% of hours)
  • There will be two editions (one in January and the other in June) and you can choose which of the editions attend by sending an email, once you formalize your enrollment, to the following address: mjose.rodriguez(ELIMINAR)@urv.cat.

Module 1:

  • Professional ethics.
  • The challenges of today's society: social and environmental sustainability ( "the risk society").
  • Democratic citizenship, human rights and gender equality.
  • Multiculturalism and adaptation to cultural change.
  • Globalization and economic development cooperation.

Module 2:

  • Finding work (language: English)
  • Self and be enterprising  (language: English)
  • Preparing CV (language: English)
  • Job interview. Role-Play (language: English)
  • New skills, new professions (language: Spanish)
  • Creativity (language: Spanish)

Evaluation of the subject: continuous assessment.

Goals of learning:

1. Means to achieve a comprehensive education and life in balance with the specialization that the student has chosen.
2. Giving different ethical and philosophicalperceptions  about science and academia.
3. Provide training in generic materials, focusing on the general competences of CITIZENSHIP AND CAREER GUIDANCE.
4. Make a study of the globalizing economy, cooperation and development.
5. Make a study of the concepts of democratic citizenship, human rights, gender equality and professional ethics.
6. To give practical tools for job search or the direction of self-employment.

C1 Mastering an intermediate level in a foreign language, preferably English.
C2. Manage of advanced information and communication technologies.
C3. Manage information and knowledge.

C6. Define and develop the professional and academic project that arises in the URV.
