This master's degree aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge for them to take decisions related to the management and planning of tourism. They are also taught how to plan, promote and commercialize tourist products. The course trains specialists in tourist consultancy and provides the necessary knowledge to coordinate RDI departments and centres. At the same time, students are shown how technology can be used in the management of establishments, activities and tourist destinations.
The Master's Degree courses are open to anybody with an official university qualification, even Spanish or foreign (this foreign degree must enable you to be admitted to postgraduate studies in the country where you obtained it).
In addition, universities in charge of the organization of a Master can establish those procedures and requirements considered necessary to be finally admitted to the Master. Therefore, as well as having a previous official degree, you should get informed about additional conditions and selection criteria which may have been addittionally established by each Master.
Course taught in: Spanish. Optionally, some subjects may be taught in English.
The core subjects are structured in modules and have their corresponding ECTS credits.
Instrumental and Transversal Module (12 ECTS): research methods and techniques
Advanced academic training module (48 ECTS): strategic management of tourist organizations, design of tourist products, destination planning, research methods and techniques
Specialized supplementary training module (30 ECTS): this module has five different modes which lead to a seal of quality on the master's degree. In each mode, students study 24 academic ECTS and 6 ECTS for supplementary activities (in one of the planned courses)
Final Project (30 ECTS): the master's degree dissertation is a research or professional assignment related to one of the programme's course modes and in which the students show what they have learned and the skills they have acquired.
If students do a final research project on one of the research lines of this postgraduate programme (or similar), they will be accepted on the programme's doctoral programme.

Official Master's degrees offer specific Modes which will be effectively initiated -or not- depending on the number of students finally admitted.
The preregistration period (1st phase) will begin on 1st March and end on 30th April.
If all the places available are not taken within this period, a new preregistration period will be opened (2nd phase) between 1st and 30th June.
The preregistration must be carried out on the Internet. The online form will become operative on the first day of the preregistration period. preregistration application.
