Presentation

The three main areas studied are the area of business law, the area of contracting and the new technologies, and the area of integral legal consultancy The master's degree also aims to train future researchers in the general context of the legal sciences from the social and political viewpoint. Some of the subjects that can be taken on this master's course are: Business Tax Planning, European Patrimonial Law, Legal Tutorship of Companies and Labour Contracting.

Admission requirements

The Master's Degree courses are open to anybody with an official university qualification, even Spanish or foreign (this foreign degree must enable you to be admitted to postgraduate studies in the country where you obtained it).

In addition, universities in charge of the organization of a Master can establish those procedures and requirements considered necessary to be finally admitted to the Master. Therefore, as well as having a previous official degree, you should get informed about additional conditions and selection criteria which may have been addittionally established by each Master.

The subjects that make up the basic core of the master's degree are:

  • Business Contracting: banking law and securities market law
  • Damages Law: assessment of damages in the business environment
  • International Commercial Law: issues in international commerce. The legal aspects of business
  • Securities Market Law: legal aspects. Business contracting and the securities market
  • Catalan Property Law: regulation and legal system
  • European Property Law: regulation and legal system
  • Private Consumer and Tourism Law: protection of consumers in private law and tourist contracts
  • The Right to Private Property: concepts and legal system
  • Bankruptcy Law: prevailing legislative models. The principles of bankruptcy law
  • Legal System
  • The Effect of the New Technologies on Business Law: the legal system governing information society services. Electronic commerce. Intellectual property. Legal system
  • Effect of Taxes on Business Activity tax system and international planning
  • Labour Contracts: aspects of labour contracts and nationality. Types of work contract. Contracts and temporary employment agencies
  • International Taxation: international double taxation. Agreement models. Effective taxation
  • Business Taxation Planning: taxation of entrepreneurs and professionals
  • Tax planning
  • Civil Evidence: concept and protection. The initiative. Real and mixed evidence
  • Local and Autonomous Region Business Taxation: the autonomous region and local taxation system
  • Business Protection: facultative procedures by which companies defend their legal rights and interests
  • Credit Guarantees: personal and real guarantees
  • Legal Thought: applied research in the legal area of companies and contracts
  • Research Techniques in the Sphere of Private Law: basic elements of a work plan and legal research

Modes

- Research (the ultimate aim of which is to write a doctoral thesis)

Official Master's degrees offer specific Modes which will be effectively initiated -or not- depending on the number of students finally admitted.

Pre-registration

The preregistration period (1st phase) will begin on 1st March and end on 30th April.

If all the places available are not taken within this period, a new preregistration period will be opened (2nd phase) between 1st and 30th June.

The preregistration must be carried out on the Internet. The online form will become operative on the first day of the preregistration period. preregistration application.
