The Predepartmental Unit of Architecture came about as a result of a decision of the University Senate on 26^th October 2005, at the same time as the Managing Committee of the School of Architecture.

It consists of the teaching and research staff of the following knowledge areas:

• Architectural Composition
• Architectural Constructions
• Structure Theory
• Architectural Graphic Expression
• Architectural Projects
• Urban and Regional Planning

and of related scientific fields, which have been responsible for teaching the programme in Architecture at the ETSA of the URV since the academic year 2005-2006.
