Among other things, this vice-rectorate is responsible for the Summer University, the Extended Campus, volunteers and cooperation, the University in the outskirts, relations with other institutions, the environmental framework plan, internal and external communication, Friends of the URV and alumni associations, and volunteer and aid work.

What is more, in order to link the URV with countries from around the globe, it coordinates and manages the mobility both of students and teaching staff―the Erasmus programme, for example―and International Relations in general.
